Mechanical Technician at Eco-Staff, LLC, Houston, TX 77087
Eco-Staff Oil & Gas seeks experienced Mechanical Technicians with a background as a Boilermaker, Bolting Technician, or Leak Sealer to join our specialized team. This role involves 50% travel to job sites both domestic and international, with the other 50% based locally. Ideal candidates are adaptable, safety-oriented professionals with previous offshore and/or refinery experience who are ready for hands-on work in various industrial settings.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct maintenance, repair, and installation on mechanical systems, with a focus on boilermaker, bolting, and leak sealing tasks.
- Perform inspections and diagnostics on a range of equipment, detecting issues and determining solutions to prevent or resolve leaks and other mechanical problems.
- Ensure all bolting, sealing, and assembly tasks meet industry standards and client requirements, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
- Follow detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform precision work on pipes, flanges, boilers, valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Document all work in compliance with company and client standards, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with team leads and site supervisors.
- Work with a strong commitment to safety, following OSHA and HAZWOPER regulations, and participate actively in on-site safety training and toolbox talks.
**Requirements**
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years working as a Boilermaker, Bolting Technician, or Leak Sealer, with previous experience in offshore, refinery, or similar industrial settings preferred.
- Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, HAZWOPER certification.
- Licensing: Valid TWIC card and ability to pass a DISA drug screening (hair, oral, and urine).
- Documentation: Must possess a valid passport or be able to obtain one upon hire.
- Physical: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
